Heaven's Road Forks at the Empty Tomb

In John Bunyan's classic book Pilgrim's Progress, he relates the story of Christian and his journey to the Celestial City which is heaven.  At one part in his journey, Christian comes to the cross.  Here's what happens:
Now I saw in my dream, that the highway up which Christian was to go, was fenced on either side with a wall, and that wall was called Salvation.  Up this way, therefore, did burdened Christian run, but not without great difficulty, because of the load on his back.
He ran thus till he came at a place somewhat ascending; and upon that place stood a cross, and a little below, in the bottom, a sepulchre. So I saw in my dream, that just as Christian came up with the cross, his burden loosed from off his shoulders, and fell from off his back, and began to tumble, and so continued to do till it came to the mouth of the sepulchre, where it fell in, and I saw it no more.
The burden of sin Christian had been carrying was taken away and placed where he would see it no more.  Everyone who finds the cross of Christ receives sins forgiven and forgotten because of God's grace and love demonstrated on the cross.

As we celebrate Easter this Sunday, the power of the cross remains the same because of the risen Lord.  Though many paths lead to the cross, a short path leads to the empty tomb.  There the road forks between the road to Unbelief or the road to Belief.  What we do with the resurrection of Christ determines our eternal life.  Which road are you on?

Come see us Easter Sunday.  We will be talking about that . . .
