One unique star appearing that first Christmas season stirred something within the hearts of some Persian astronomers. They knew it signified a regal happening. Prophecies had foretold of a king to born to the Jews so they prepared to follow the heavenly sight. This heavenly vision so moved them that they would spend much time, effort, and wealth to journey to where the star focused its light. This vision so consumed them that nothing would stop their efforts to find this king. The result: they found Immanuel, "God with us." They worshipped and offered expensive gifts to honor the Christ child.
Oh, that we would be so taken by the vision of Christ that we would give up whatever it took to seek and find Him. When we found him, we too would worship knowing we had found God's answer to our life's deepest desire . . . to know God and be known by Him.
Come see us Sunday. We will be talking about that!
