2010 is upon us. It is that time of year when, in a spirit of optimism, many of us make great promises to ourselves about the changes we are going to make for the New Year. We usually abandon those changes by the end of January. How many diets are started and quickly forgotten? How many exercise programs are started only to be cast aside by the end of February?
Commitments are hard to keep, especially when a lack discipline is combined with a limited sense of long-term value to our lives. This Sunday we will be talking about some commitments and how, if we follow through on them, they will make a radical difference in our lives. Take time to read Philippians 3:13-14, Colossians 3:13, Romans 12:18, and Romans 6:2 for a clue to some life-changing commitments. I guarantee that if these are followed, 2010 could become one of the most significant years in your life.
See you Sunday...we'll talk about that.
