Mucho La Mochila

Yes, "many backpacks!" Have you ever wondered what 308 backpacks would look like? Well, take a look. This is the number our congregation donated for children in Guatemala, and we give God praise! These aren't ordinary backpacks. Each of these backpacks is filled with school supplies such as scissors, glue sticks, pencils, a ruler, paper, folders, erasers, crayons, as well as a few hygiene items like a toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth, soap, etc.

The backpacks are on their way to Clay City today where they will be shipped to the children in December just in time for the new school year.

Thanks to Sheila Music for coordinating this project and for finding donors outside the church. Thanks to each member of our congregation for your sacrificial contributions. Not only will the children who receive these backpacks be blessed, each person who contributed to this mission will be blessed. Acts 20:35 says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Thank you for being an arm of Christ.
