Life Change is Possible

Do you ever wish you could go back and start your life over again?  Wouldn’t it be nice to avoid the negative circumstances, hurts and pains . . .  to make better decisions, to make wrongs right, and not miss opportunities and blessings? What three things would you change if you could?  Unfortunately, we have but one life to live and it didn't come with an instruction book.  However, life can change.  Christians celebrate this each year during Easter.  Life change is what Easter is all about. Jesus' death and resurrection lets us know that we can change.  It is possible for us to become new persons.  Christ’s death for our sins restored the possibility for us to be forgiven for all those negative things we wish we could go back and change.  He reestablished our friendship with God by taking upon himself our transgressions.
His death by itself isn’t enough.  At Easter we celebrate the victory over sin and death.  Christ broke the devil's power over us.  Though our sin put him in the grave, he rose again victor over any and every sin, even the ultimate result of sin which is death.  We can now have power over sin and death through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

How is this possible?  John 3:3 gives us the key.  "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."  In other words, we must be born a second time completely and fully, a complete and full change brought on him by God.  It is a spiritual birth resulting in a new relationship with God, a radical change of heart, and a complete change of life direction.  The old way of life has passed away and is replaced by a new life directed by God.

Are you truly "born again?"  It is about relationship--not religion.  Come see us Sunday.  We will be talking about that.

  1. I'm so thankful that God gave His Son Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice so that we may "START AGAIN". I love the Lord with all my heart. PTL
